I think 12-year-olds have gotten more chic than they used to be! Your daughter looks fabulous in her tweed jacket.

This beautiful result could eventually inspire your daughter to take a page out of your book. The "Hey! *I* can do that!"-page.

Mom, how cool you are. It is not very often that we can get a style conscience young one to wear 'home made'.
10/3/04 9:20 PM
Wow - she will be keeping you busy after a smashing success like that!

So darling (jacket and dd)! I didn't buy this pattern as I didn't like how it looked in the pattern photos - - I think your lining made all the difference.

I'M SO IMPRESSED! Your daughter looks lovely, and she clearly has a sense of style and good taste, not a given at her age, or any other. Oh, yes, the jacket is beautiful too.

Oh I am so jealous that your DD lets you sew for her. :) I am about to harness mine with a tape measure soon due to the mall prices! You did a great job!

Lovely job! The ribbon tie is a great touch and the lining is particularly cool. Your cutie-pie daughter is going to be the envy of all of her friends!

Could this be any chic-er? The jacket is great, and your daughter is inpressively stylish for a 12-year-old. I hope mine grows up like that! It will be a pleasure to sew for her if she does.
