It is very nice, and I like the look of the ribbon. This pattern was one of my "fails" a few years ago and I should give it another try.

SueV this is so lovely for your Mom, such nice sewing you do. I made this too and I was thinking next time I'm going to change the assembly of the ties, I used the same fabric for my ties as the cardigan, it would not work using ribbon. I found knitmachinequeen review and she mentioned this idea too. I noticed the inside was neater and smoother then the outside.
