|Pattern Description: Butterick 3238; These are various children costumes. Including, a bear, bunny, cats, monkey and lion. I made the bear costume but modified it to a Care bear- Cheer bear costume. I couldn't find a Carebear costume pattern so I used this one. |
Pattern Sizing: 2,3,4,5 (I made it in size 5). It fit well on my daughter who wears size 5 with a little extra room which was perfect.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, it did.
Were the instructions easy to follow? This is the first pattern I've ever made. I'm a beginner at sewing. I found it easy to follow with my mother's help (via video chat). If you are familiar with patterns, this should be very easy to follow.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I loved the easy to follow directions and pictures. It was rewarding to make all the way through. I thought the ears were particularly cute.
Fabric Used: Fleece and lining for hood. I liked using the lining on the hood. I thought it looked nice.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: Since I was making Cheer bear, I used pink fleece, made a belly with a rainbow on it and put a heart on the back side.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, I would recommend it. I would like to make the bunny. Looks cute!
