Very cute striped collar and cuffs! Thanks for the detailed review, Lorna. I've looked longingly at this pattern for some time, but am not hesitating b/c of your reminder about how wide and flat the collar is.

The one thign that bugs me about this collar is that it sits low on the neck. It drove me nuts all through Mass! I think I will have to do an adjustment on the back to stop this. IT could alos be the weight of the collar pulling it back as well. The sleeve seam is pulling to the back as well.

Thank you for your review. Cute shirt. New Look tends to make the neck line too low or too wide, and I have had to make adjustments based on this also.

Your top turned out nicely. I like the contrast collar and cuffs and using it for a modesty panel too, was clever.

The modesty panel looks like it was an intended design feature all along. Great idea. Hopefully that neckline will feel more comfortable eventually.

I just tried this top in View B and I waddered it. Sewing the sleeve in the flat made it kind of dolman-y on me, and gave me about a 2 cm fold under the arm pointing at bust when my arms are at my sides. I took the seam in which at least brought the fold in closer into my armpit, but..doing so took my FBA out. Pleh. The sleeves aren't high enough and cut close in enough for this D cup. Almost Kimono-y to my grave dissapointment. On the two reviews the sleeve looks fine, I think it's just me.
