The bag is gorgeous in the black velvet. Makes it look much richer that the pattern photo. Great information in your review.

This looks beautiful, inside and out! I can only imagine how wonderful it must feel to carry such a sumptuous bag. And your review is superb -- that pattern does not sound particularly good, but now anyone making it has the benefit of your expertise to work around its shortcomings. Nicely done and I think the pink button really adds to the style. It's nice you were able to transform something of sentimental value into something you will use.
