What a great review - wish I had read it before I cut my niece's dress. I agree with you that the shoulder sits way too far out onto the shoulder but I'm not quite sure how to fix this.

I think you did a gorgeous job. However, the shoulder straps seem quite problematic and on the pattern picture this is not evident. I would say the pattern is flawed and I'm sure that a similar pattern can be found. I once made a dress for myself from a Sandra Benzina pattern and had all kinds of problems with it. Finally gave up. But you did a marvelous job and the fabric pattern is great.
