Great job...I'm perfecting my pant fit, as well, with another name brand. Re the fluff under the butt, I solved my problem with that by taking in the inseam a little and not the crotch, which I started to tackle first. These look great!

This is my all time TNT pants pattern, I have made these several times and I'm in the process of cutting a wool crepe out right now. I added welt pockets to the back for added interest. Pants for Real People book by Palmer/Pletsch is loaded with great techniques and addresses puckering below the rear. ArtAttack is right take in the back inseam but not the front. Your first pair came out very nice MaidenJane :)
