How did you do the continous lap part? I see the picture you posted but I can't seem to get mine to look like that! Any ideas on how to make it work? Thanks!

First, open up the v, align it with the lap piece and sew together. There will be very little seam allowance when you get to the middle so take it slowly. Then sew the other side of the lap piece, as if it were bias tape. Once that is done, sew it so that the button side is folded inside the skirt. Then sew a diagonal line a the bottom of the v to finish. I hope this makes sense!
