Pattern Description: It is a nice suit pattern for men. I have made this jacket a couple of times and fine tuned it each time. It has both a long jacket and a normal dinner wear length
Pattern Sizing:This is a multisize pattern and I cut size 50 for DH. It seems to fit him perfectly
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?yes I think it looks much like the drawing
Were the instructions easy to follow? The instructions are not bad they kind of seem to just scim over things but now that I have made a couple of these the instructions are clearer to me now
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I think the arms may be a little too long I took up an inch in the sleeves but still had to take quite a hem on them not to go over DH's thumb. Fabric Used: I used a nice blue and black plaid wool on this one. It had a nice white accent thread going through it. I have had the fabric for two years dreaming of what it would become but DH needed a nice blazer for his state inspection today. (Wish him luck he says the new jacket gives him just the confidence he needs)
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:I added piping to the pocket to add a little touch of uniqueness and of course I shortened the sleeves
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? DH already has the fabric picked out and ready for the next jacket some nice boucle wool from Fabric Mart. THis time he may want the long one.
Conclusion: I had fun doing this blazer and I still have some things I have to work on to get my skills honed down on these lined Blazer's Now if I could only get the jeans to fit right.
Wow, what an impressive project and what a great fit!!! I hope dh loves wearing it!
