They do help a person sit up straight. I know of a person who sews in her corset. I like to go to renaissance faires and play a "pirate wench". A great excuse to wear corsets in all sorts of patterns! Like this one: or this one It's what keeps me sane. :)

5 corsets? You can wear them under your clothes for work, because they are a great reminder to sit up straight :)
