UPDATE 15 Jan 2013
I made this again, two sizes smaller, with an FBA...and it was STILL very roomy. Fixed it this time with a wide pleat in the back - fits much better than running in the sides.
See my blogfor more details/pics:
Pattern Description:
"Clean chic at its best! This simple sleeveless blouse makes a good impression thanks to fine details like forward shoulder seams and two pleats in the fronts" Pattern Sizing:
36-44 Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, mine is white too, although a bit less crisp. The pleats sit in a rather weird curvy way at the collar, due to the softer fabric used, but I like the effect. Were the instructions easy to follow?
Mostly. Like another reviewer, I had to think a bit about attaching the shoulders/collar. Looking at the picture helped more than reading... What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I love a white blouse with a bit of a twist...or soft pleat, in this instance. Another reviewer mentioned it's a bit Pattern-Magic-y. I agree! Fabric Used:
Very fine, almost transparent, white cotton voile Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
As noted by other reviewers, this is a very boxy cut. I made it as per size 44 pattern, which fits fine over the bust but I took the waist in a good 2.5cm on both sides and still have a fair amount of room! It looks better tucked in than left out, at least on me. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others
Yes and Yes. Conclusion:
It's a light, breezy take on a simple summer blouse.
