Great top, Kris! As to the elastic, I only shorten it over the bust area to prevent gaping. Otherwise I stitch it on in a 1:1 ratio and it provides just enough stability without all the gathers.

Kris - your top looks great. I go back and stitch my overlap closed! I just try to stitch exactly on top of my previous stitching. So far I haven't had any problems - have one of these tops cut out to sew this weekend!

I think your shirt looks prettier on you than on the model of the pattern. I like the fabric you pick the colors are prefect for that style. Your did a wonderful job sewing this shirt. Way to go!
