What a wonderful project and creative effort -- So glad that the recipient liked it. The feathers you came up with worked! I agree with you about black lining -- I like a medium color, so you can see things, but not every pen mark, lipstick stain, etc.

Hi there. Sorry I meant to include in my review I put two magnetic snaps inside and I lined it with a cotton cream with black polka dots. I've found that bags lined with black fabric tend to be dark on the inside and it's hard to find things sometimes so I wanted to stick with a lighter color.
