|Pattern Description: |
Top A has V neckline and extended shoulders. Elastic gathered centre front, with optional fabric rose attached. Skirt B, C and D have shaped waist on yoke, View B is above knee length, Views C & D are mid calf-length. Optional buttons or ribbon tied on wasitbands. Skirt has centre back zipper.
10-22 - I was going to cut a 22 due to my measurements, but ran out of fabric and cut only a 20. Even so it's a bit big, but this may be because of the stretch in the fabric.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Were the instructions easy to follow?
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Trying to fit the last piece of the waistband into the scraps of fabric I had left! (I ended up piecing it and using heat-n-bond to hold together two leftover scraps!)
The receipt from Spotlight says Sateen. It's sort of like a twill with some crossway stretch.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I have another couple of metres of similar fabric (different print) and I might grade this one down a little bit (to somewhere between the size 18 & 20). I also want to add side seam pockets if I can find enough fabric to cut them out! I HATE skirts without pockets!
Easy pattern, took me less than half a day all-up from cutting to sewing to finishing and it looks ok for the office. Good length (didn't need to add anything there) unlike a lot of patterns these days that seem to be cut above the knee.
