Well I clicked into your pic and thought . . .OMG that is so pretty. The fabric is to die for. And so very 50's.

Your dress is gorgeous, I love this fabric choice and the way you put it together.

Super cute dress! Great fabric / pattern combination.

The bird fabric is to die for! it must have come off the loom with instructions " MAKE ME INTO A SUNDRESS". I am totally going to steal your short-zipper button trick. Brilliant and eco friendly, think of all the gas you saved not running a specific errand for a silly zipper. I have the same experience with vintage patterns, they are unduly modest around the neckline and they assume you will be wearing a corset/girdle. you get special credit for the piping...what a hassle...so cute!

I love this dress, especially as it has been sewn using the techniques of the 50s. Beautiful work!

The pattern may not be special, but your sundress is! Very pretty.
