Wonderful costumes! I like the changes you made too. Much more practical and sensible. Costume patterns always seem to be over constructed, expensive and difficult to sew when they don't need to be. I made mermaid skirts years ago without a pattern, and made them almost the same as you have. Nice job.

Thank you for this detailed review along with the changes you made! I think I will make similar changes, and my daughter already has picked out that same blue confetti material! :) It looks great!
