I'm so glad you reviewed this dress. Yours looks very nice. Joann Fabrics has it on a form in front of the store and some of my beginner students have fallen in love with it. I have tried to explain to them this is not an easy dress for a novice and doesn't do well with some shapes. You have given me even more to go on ;-)

I'm just starting sewing and I bought a little stack of patterns to work my way through. This one is on the bottom of my stack since it looks hardest, but seeing how it looks finished after being made by a real person is really encouraging. It looks really good, thanks for posting the review.

I think it looks great! A slip would fix your transparency problem.
