Pattern Info provided by maria 6705

Pattern Rating:Easy & Great for Beginners
Fabric:Flannel  [See other projects in this fabric]
Pattern Description:
Edited for 2015 Fabric Stash contest. Flannel pads to protect care-giver's clothing from baby spit-ups. The pattern is copyrighted and is for home-use only. It may be used for donations to charity.
Pattern Sizing:
One size
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Very easy! There are two options:1) serging or 2) stitching wrong sides together, clipping and turning. I used the serger, which was very, very quick.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
It's attractive, quick and easy to make, useful, and is good for using small (1/4 yard) pieces of left-over flannelette.
Fabric Used:
Cotton flannelette. For this project, I used pieces left over from other projects that have been in my stash for approximately 1 to 6 years. The total amount of fabric in my stash is probably 50 to 75 yards.
I made 6 burping cloths, each using 1/4 yard of fabric. click here
This contest was the incentive to sew them now, but they will be used for gifts to new parents in the future.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
None. In the past I have used three layers of fabric for extra absorbency rather than just two, but my serger is not happy about having to sew through the extra layer of fabric.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
A great baby shower gift!
