Pattern Description: "Misses Skirts and Belt". Simplicity descriptions are so helpful. It's a skirt with a variety of flounce options. I made View A, which has a full circle flounce.
Pattern Sizing: 6-22. I cut a 12.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, even though mine is in a knit fabric! In fact, when I first picked up this pattern I assumed it was for knits, since I had a RTW knit skirt that looked exactly like the picture.
Were the instructions easy to follow? I honestly didn't use them, since the only complicated part was the waistband, and I changed that completely.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like the style of the straight skirt with a circle flounce.
Fabric Used: A drapey poly-lycra jersey from a local store a long time ago.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I converted the waistband/zipper to elastic, since I used a knit. I just folded down the top 1 3/4 inches to make a channel for the elastic (1 1/2 inch, since that's what I had). I left the darts when I cut out the skirt, but didn't sew them; they just got eased into the elastic waist. I also left the bottom unhemmed, since I thought the clean cut would look better than any hem I could attempt in this lightish jersey.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I may make another if I need a quick skirt. I highly recommend it for knit fabrics - so much easier!
Conclusion: This was a nice, quick, easy project that got an old fabric out of the stash and into the closet. What more can you ask for?

That's such a cute skirt! The flounce has a wonderful swirlyness to it and the black and white is so timeless!
