Pattern Description: This pattern is for a lined infant dress, sleeved or sleeveless, with matching headband and panties
Background: Our first child was born last fall. She is named after my grandmother who died over 5 years ago. She raised me and will always have a special place in my heart. I wanted to make something from her "great grandma". My grandmother's favorite color is lavender, hence the lavendar dress. Pattern Sizing:The pattern is for small (13-17lbs), medium (18-21 lbs), large (22-25 lbs) and Xlarge (26-29 lbs).
For Easter Dress: I am making a size small. My daughter will be 7 months old at Easter, and is on the small side.
For Spring/Summer Dress: I started this one back in August before she arrived. I cut out and had ready for her a size medium. I thought she would be at least 18 pounds by March. That didn't happen. Thankfully since this outfit is sleeveless she can wear it all summer.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Very much so.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Really easy to be honest. I can make it in my sleep easy.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Like: it is versatile, simple design, and lined.
Dislike: really haven't found anything I disline.
Fabric Used: I made the dress and lining out of lavendar country 100% cotton. The summer dress out of a duckie patterned peach/pink print. Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I didn't do a lining on the skirt. If I made her more of a 'formal' I would do it up with the extra lining, and maybe even the extra built in petticoat other's have recomended. But for now I'm making it as it is written.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes will use it many times for a nice summer dress, and i do recomend it to others.
Conclusion: It is a very simple little cute dress. The only real challange I see for some people is because you have to deal with turning the bodice inside out to make the lining lay smooth. This can be tricky for begining sewers. It isn't difficult but could trip you up. Otherwise it is nice pattern.

What a cute little dress! And I love that it is in memory of your Grandmother-what a nice way to remember her.
