Thanks for posting. I'm thinking about sewing from this pattern too and appreciate seeing how it looks good in the flannel since I have a similar fabric. I'm curious as to what you think about this pattern compared to the NL6963, which has a yoke, that you sewed earlier.

Excuse me, I guess you did explain in this review - that is point of easier work because of less details - but what about the look(shapeliness)/comfort - what can you share about what a yoke vs non yoke means particularly in this regard. No need to comment about the collar, etc. unless you choose to add more info. Thanks in any case - for a good review and a great look. :)

Hi persevering. NL6963 is indeed shapelier, because of the long darts in the back that contour better to the body. This pattern (2246) just hangs loosely in the back because it's meant to be cinched in with a belt. If you have a fabric with a directional print, I think the yoke of NL6963 makes for a more interesting look because you can cut the yoke on the cross-grain instead of the straight grain. If you're using a solid color, though, I don't think the yoke adds any more function or interest so you might as well not have to deal with it and the yoke facing. Other than those little design elements, the patterns are very comparable in terms of difficulty and overall look.
