This is so pretty, and your extra touches give it a very unusual retro feel--kind of a World War I nurse's field coat. You can google it to see what I mean.

Lovely job! I'm no coat expert, but maybe the bottom hem needs heavier interfacing to help it have more "hang" power, & perhaps lengthening the stitch when attaching the facing might help with it curving out. Thanks for a detailed review.

Really nice coat. Coats are so much work but fun to wear! You did a nice job on it. I would agree with rozzybabe and suggest using an interfacing along the lower hem. Many patterns leave that out and the extra step gives such a great finish.
