I think this would be a great top for pregnancy, especially in the winter. As far as the maternity patterns go though. I think you're better off altering a well-fitting regular pattern. In my experience (and also the opinion of Sandra Betzina) the maternity patterns tend to be very voluminous. I'm sure we'll all be watching your sewing progress through the coming months:)). Don't forget the best (IMHO) patterns for baby garments--Kwik Sew!

Your top is lovely. This is a wonderful pattern. I think it would work well in a maternity version.

I like that in slinky. I'm certain this version will be perfect post-pregnancy.

Thanks everyone..I'm wearing the slinky version today and it is very comfortable. I think I will go back and alter the pattern for maternity wear. Edube, I'm definitely a Kwik Sew fan and have all of their books and a lot of baby patterns!
