I love it! I've got to have some suit jackets for this season and was just looking at this one. And while I love your pink suit, I agree that this one is a bit more professional (without being boring!) Great job!

Great suit! I suppose you're right, the brown is better for court, but you look quite the expert in pink too!

i love the ensemble, and yes probably perceived as a more serious person than in pink. did you make the pink too???

Great outfit. Love the colors. Works very well together. I like your Butterick cami better than the one with the jacket and skirt.

That is one terrific ensemble - beautifully made and co-ordinated. The pink suit is wonderful but a bit more Elle Woods than Expert Witness. Hope it goes well.

Thank you for the compliments! KiwiWendy: yes!! the pattern is new look 6412 and I reviewed it. Susan D: Simplicity is much better this year. It felt kind of "wrong" to use these expensive fabrics on a simplicity pattern but it worked out well. I still need advice regarding how you younger types use slips and panty hose with below waist skirts. Obviously I must wear hose to court. The skirt is unlined so I need a slip too.

That outfit is fantastic. It makes you look very professional twice over - as in you will look professional in it and it looks like a professional made it.

Very sharp. It ahs a cute purse pattern too (although I might leave off the bow.) I'll put it on my list. Three suits - ambitious - is your deadline next month?

Elegant and beautiful! I'm sure no one will be listening to you in court, as they will be too busy admiring your suit. ;-)

karmeng: I had already done the skirt and cute out most of the jacket. I sewed the jacket and did the cami after our PR weekend. I'm off work this week so I have extra time to sew. However, this jacket is really easy to make. I found it easier to make than many tee shirts. I did do a muslin to verify size.

WOW! You are on a roll. What a very stylish and fashionable ensemble you put together. Good call on the pink suit as an exeprt witness. I'm in awe that this jacket appears made for beginners, and that SIM drafted it well.

Really nice, stylish and yet professional suit. I am not a young one (43) but I suspect that the fashionable thing regearding pantyhose is to not wear any. Maybe you could handle it like Chanel and sew the camisile to the skirt.

Looks very good! Regarding pantyhose: there exists low-riding pantyhose, but I have no idea how they feel on!

The jacket is particularly lovely! Check VS for low-rise hosiery. I've never tried these, but I like their hosiery in general and I know their low rise panties are surprisingly comfy!

Not much more to add to all the glowing compliments on your great ensemble, except I hope you get someone to snap a picture of you on your way up the courthouse steps to post here, I'd love to see it on you.

Susan, have you tried those thigh-high hose with the rubber at the top to keep them from sliding down? I wore them while pregnant and they worked great. I love the color of your suit and I'm so happy that Simplicity is making patterns in your size. You will look spectacular in court!
