This costume is just adorable!! LOVE the color you chose. Thank you for all the advice and tips about the pattern, especially the wings. Always makes you wonder how the pattern company (really) got the results in the photo!

Awwww, cute! I wonder if ballet patterns could give you good wings? After all, there are a number of ballets in which fairy-type ladies dance around and carry on, exposing wings to wear and tear. The wings do tend to be smallish.

I agree with you on the fabric yardage information. I had to bring the pattern home and pore over the instructions before I figured out what they meant. The skirt seems bulky at the waist. I made it for my granddaughter and I'm sure I will have to fix the waist (even though it is elastic) when I see her.
