They look just like the pattern. I made View 3 & 4...a long time ago, & that's where we wore them then. They do fit at the natural waist, not riding on the hipbones.

The shorts look just as I suspected when we spoke at JoAnn on Saturday. Just like they're supposed to. My daughter would feel the same way about them. She HATES anything that sits at the natural waist. When you said 'retro' I was thinking '50s. HaHa! Hope to run into you again.
