Pattern Sizing:
I followed the pattern to the sizing and found it fit exactly to my desired measurements. This pattern is a fairly baggy fit, as you can pull it over your head and doesn't require any zips or fastners. I LOVE that you can then just use a belt to fit it around your waste and it looks great!.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
I think it defintely looked like the drawing but with the right material you can make this dress amazing! I ended up starting with a plain black because I figured I could put a coloured button shirt underneath. I had this pattern when I went to the fabric shop and I picked a patterned material which is now one of my favourite work dresses!
Were the instructions easy to follow?
The instructions were easy to follow and once you have made it once its extremely easy to make. I made my second dress after work and finished it that night.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
The only changes I made was sewing together the top lining. I try to ensure I don't have to hand stitch too much so I did it a little differently. I also cut a section of lining which can be shown from the image above because I like it when my work dresses are fully lined.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes and Yes!! I have already made 3 dresses in this pattern and will most likely keep making it over. But I am also the type of person to want something I love in every colour.
Conlusions:
The Vogue pattern may not look like the most interesting pattern but this dress is so comfortbale, easy to make and can be made so lovely in the right matierial. It's my new favourite dress pattern!
