Lots of Tshirts have a wavy sort of neckline feature. I think it looks great. Well done.

Ahhh! Another dissatisfied Walmart thread buyer! Now you know about Walmart thread. The top is great, BTW. You did a very good job on it, especially for a first try. Kudos on your courage to keep going.

Great first try! I am new to neckline bindings too, and have made three very successful tops using Sarah Veblen's instructions--just super. You can watch it here: http://www.threadsmagazine.com/item/3839/video-a-neckline-binding-for-knits. She explains about stretching the binding, which should take care of your excessive ease problem.

Good job on getting the start of a TNT t-shirt. Biding can be tricky. Each knit has a different stretch value.
