Thank you for your detailed review. I have this top (almost) made up, and 100% agree with and understand your frustrations. This is the first time I've sewn a Burda pattern - not sure why, really. I certainly hope they are not all as irritating as this pattern. Good idea about trimming the pattern pieces, rather than the fabric after cutting the pieces out. And the band thing? Seriously, I thought I missed something, but when I looked back at the instructions, I realized they just pulled that out of the clear blue sky, so I winged it. Despite the issues, your top looks great.
