Pattern Description: This is a costume pattern to make yerself a pirate outfit, savvy?
Pattern Sizing:In general I think it runs big.I used the size based on my husbands chest measurement and the shirt was too wide, even for the style. The booty(hardy har har!) Of the breeches was very low and baggy and had to be altered alot. Also I made them 3 inches longer (more like capris than knee breeches) so they would not peek out of his boots.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?Yes, it did.
Were the instructions easy to follow?Yes, the instrutions were easy to follow.I think someone with minimal experience could do this costume. The only tricky part in my opinion, is the drop front on the breeches.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?Well Jack Sparrows waistcoat has pockets and the pattern did not, so I had to put some in. Also the sizing issue was irritating for me.What I liked was that the shirt and waistcoat were not attatched as is the case in some other costume patterns.
Fabric Used:linen of various weights.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:see sizing section :3
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
It looks great!
