Pattern Description: A throwback to a vintage purse, the Trapezoid Purse! Purse is shaped like a trapezoid, has a zippered pocket and regular pocket inside. To close the purse on top is a magnetic snap strap. There is a lining and no seams show when completed.
Pattern Sizing: When completed, the purse measures 11.5 inches across the bottom, 8.5 inches across the top, 9.5 inches tall and the strap is 17.5 inches total length.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? I sure hope so because I designed it! yes it looked like I was hoping it would.
Were the instructions easy to follow? I designed the tutorial to be easy to follow and provided lots of details. Step by step, this pattern is easy to follow and the purse is fun to make.
Fabric Used: I used a green gingham for the lining and outer on shell and a floral cotton for the handle and middle of outer shell. Both fabrics were purchased on fabric.com
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I have to sew it again because my 6 year old daughter has already claimed this one! I love how the purse turned out and I can't wait to make myself one to use daily.
Conclusion: Great purse to carry all the essentials. Cute enough for Sunday brunch or everyday use. I hope you like!
