	Peter in NYC said... Michael, I recommend sewing with woven fabrics when you start out, since they're much more stable and easy to sew with. My first projects were with things like old sheets I found at the thrift store. Knits are hard to size since stretch will vary depending on the fabric. Many experienced sewers still struggle with sizing knits. 12/30/12 9:57 AM
