Pattern Description:
The Renfrew Top is a fitted knit top with sleeve and neckline variations. View A has long sleeves and a scoop neckline. View B has short sleeves and a deep V neckline. View C has a dramatic cowl neckline and three-quarter length sleeves. Mix and match any of the sleeves with any of the neckline options for unlimited possibilities!

Pattern Sizing:
0-16, I used the size 12 with a little added hip ease.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, I've yet to do any major pattern changes to this as it's a great basic layer.

Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes, the instructions are great!

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
No dislikes here, the pattern is extremely versatile and easy to sew!

Fabric Used:
I've used all kinds of fabric cotton/lyrca, stable rayon knits, drapey rayon/lycra. The pattern does work best with the recommended stable knit but I do like some of my drapey rayon versions.
In my flickr set the ocelot print is a burnt out rayon. I used two layers of the fabric for the front and back. The green long sleeve is a rayon/lycra on the drapey side. Both fabrics were from marcytilton.com

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
- I added just a teeny bit of extra ease in the hip and cut all the seam allowances down to 1/4.

- Usually add 1/4 clear elastic in the shoulder seams for stability.

-Never do the top-stitching around the neckline binding and have had no negative affects skipping this step.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I've made at least 20 of these and have tried all the neckline styles and sleeve lengths. My favorite is the V-neck and I made a ton of these with short sleeve for summer time. and there is a new one cut out and ready to sew on my sewing table.

Conclusion:
Hands down the pattern I've sewn that most. Looks great in solids and prints and I can knock one out in a day.

Wow, you've been one busy gal and your tops are very nice. It's nice to get so much mileage out of one pattern.
