Pattern Description:
Above mid-knee, lined dresses A, B have close-fitting bodice with princess seams, cut-a-way armholes, neck band and midriff, straight skirt with pleats and back zipper closure Pattern Sizing:
I made a size 14 Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, except for the pleats on mine stand out much more. Were the instructions easy to follow?
I had no problems What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
The front darts need to be sewn down or else you get an unflattering bubble. Fabric Used:
Cotton Eyelet Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
One of my pleats are off center. I'm not really sure how that happened, but it doesn't bother me enough to move it. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I would love to sew it again in another fabric Conclusion:
I wanted to make a dress for the summer out of eyelet fabric. I eventually found this floral eyelet after much searching of local shops. I chose this pattern because of the neck line and I'm glad that I did. I love the way the seams sit on the bust and the proportions were perfect for me.

imsewcrazy said... Great dress! Beautiful fabric! I often choose to change a front pleat to a dart (like the one on the back). This way it doesn't pucker. It works out great. 3/17/13 12:05 PM
