This turned out lovely. I too am a beginner and have this pattern in my stash. It's encouraging to see how lovely yours turned out. I would never have guessed this was your second dress ever. Well done!

You look quite chic as petro said. Lovely job, especially as this was only your second time sewing a dress!

Thank you!! This was my second dress ever made... The thing with the collar is that the shoulder straps have to be very far apart, lying on the shoulder edges, so as soon as I put an arm up or something, the shoulder straps come closer and it creates a gap in the middle. @GoodbyeValntino : I wish I could find such styles in shops, but in France, they don't bother to offer fitted garments anymore. It's all wide and stretch (or not stretch) and not fitted at the waist, which is my strong point. So I make my own garments now, or recut what I buy...

It looks great! Good job bringing a vintage pattern into the 21st century!

Lovely...I think the neckline looks fine. Perhaps it is a new style to you and feels different.

It looks rather chic, I'm not sure what doesn't seem to have come out right.
