Jennifer shaw said... Oh Ann, your gloves are soo amazingly beautiful!!! WOW! Thank you for reviewing this pattern. Maybe, I will give these a go-
Do you think that it would be easier to machine stitch or hand stitch this pattern? Or does it really make a difference?
Thanks again. 1/22/05 6:32 PM
Leslie in Austin said... Thanks for the review, Ann. Knowing how much I love my own RTW stretch velvet gloves (leopard print, too), I thought these would be great Christmas presents for all of "the girls" (sisters, SILs, nieces), but after reading your review, I think not. Too bad. 1/22/05 7:06 PM

I don't know if I'll ever get around to it, but its helpful to know what I'd be getting into. 1/22/05 7:30 PM

Georgene said... Ann, I just bought the KwikSew glove pattern. I wonder if it is any 'easier'? Still has 1/8" seams, which would have to be for a glove pattern to work. But i wonder if you could do it with a tight 3 thread serger seam? I guess I will find out one of these days....meanwhile I love all the different versions in this pattern. I can see why you fell for it. Nice job, love your treatment. 1/22/05 8:26 PM

I'm thinking...a zip lok bag with the gloves and needle for those unuseable times like waiting on your kids at the dentist...at the orthodontist...at practice...but maybe there are way too many iddle bitty pieces for that to be practical. Oh, well -- at least you can say you've done that! ;) 1/22/05 11:39 PM

Would soft fine leather be OK for these gloves? The recommended fabrics are all stretch fabrics, but leather stretches a little......

I'll reiterate that it takes a lot of patience, but if you go slowly, you'll get good results. If you make these, please review them and let us know what you think! -Ann 6/12/05 7:21 AM
