Pattern Sizing: Sizes 1-6. Pattern is single sized (not multi-sized).

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? It really did! I hoped to recreate the blue and white outfit from the envelope's artwork and the finished product looks like the drawing come to life.

Were the instructions easy to follow? Very easy. The instructions were very clear and accompanied by drawings. This was my first time working with a vintage pattern and I found that the instructions were much more straight-to-the-point and easy-to-understand than those included with many of today's patterns, which tend to be so detailed as to be confusing.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love everything about this pattern - the classic style and cute details of all of the pieces make this feel like a really special outfit.
HOWEVER, this pattern runs quite large. Judging from the measurements given on the back of the envelope, a size one (the size I made) is equivalent to a size 12 months. My daughter is 11 months old and wears a size 12 months in ready-to-wear (a size 18 months fits loosely, but is wearable). This outfit is enormous on her! I was hoping she could wear it for her birthday and maybe Christmas, but now I'm just hoping she'll be able to wear it by Easter! haha. It's not a major problem, but something to consider if making this outfit for a specific event. EDITED TO ADD: My daughter has since been able to wear the dress, and it is just adorable. I've added a photo of the dress being worn here.
Note: The pattern's construction calls for an awful lot of hand sewing, which I believe is pretty common for vintage patterns. This didn't bother me and I actually found it really fun to put the extra time into these pieces, but if you hate hand sewing, you might not enjoy sewing this outfit.

Fabric Used: For the coat: wool exterior, lined with satin. Detachable cuffs, collar, and hat exterior: cotton pique. Dress, hat lining, and hat details: cotton seersucker. Dress is underlined with cotton broadcloth. Tulle is sewn into the skirt's seam allowance for extra body.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I interfaced the hat and detachable cuffs/collar, which is not called for in the pattern. I think that, in order for these pieces to hold their shape (especially in the case of the hat), interfacing really is needed. The bow details on the dress bodice and skirt are to be tied by slipping ribbon into a space left unsewn in the ribbon trim; instead, I sewed the ribbon trim down all the way around, tied a bow separately, and tacked it down to the ribbon trim.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Well, I was only planning on making one of these, but seeing as how this pattern runs large, I might sew up a couple more of the dresses for my daughter to wear in the spring. It really is an adorable pattern and I would recommend it whole-heartedly to others looking for a classic children's outfit with vintage styling.

Conclusion: I'm extremely happy with the way this outfit turned out. I can't wait for my daughter to be able to wear it! This was a really wonderful introduction to vintage sewing patterns and I'm left wanting more.

Wow, a complete outfit. It's adorable and the dress looks sweet on your daughter. I like that the cuffs and collar of the coat are removable, nice for a style change, but especially for cleaning.
