I too made this pattern, but I waited until Joann's Casa Collection Satin and Chffon was on sale for 50% off. I admire you for trying it with costume satin. I loved it but I made a few adjustments on the lining facing and skirt attachment process to make it easier. Still I don;t think I'll be using Chiffon again anytime soon. I also agree that the head piece for the braid was not long enough.

It looks great I hear you on the costume satin though. I usually use cotton for princess dresses since its easier to work with and holds up well.

Thanks everyone! You live, you learn. Right? I will spend the extra few dollars on better satin for sure. In the end I had to remake the front skirt panel because of a snag, and I had to redo the entire bodice with the material snagged from trying to install the eyelets. Not cool!
