I made a knit dress for dgd out of this fabric--I pretty much stick to knits for the little ones. I'm with you on the woolly/nylon, double needle thing--I'm too impatient for the fiddling and don't find it necessary--I just topstitch with a small zigzag twice around hem, after applying Steam a seam lite if I'm afraid of waving, and it looks fine.
