Thank you so much for reviewing this! I didn't look twice at this pattern because that collar is so Not Me, but I absolutely love your version without it! The seaming is so nice and that piping really makes it stand out!

It's gorgeous. I think the problem with the bias is two things - at the V base in front, I would have created a kid of mitre, as a V is impossible to get in pure bias. and for the curves round the neck, well, bias binding used in this way used to stand up for me like this, until I started pre-curving it with my steam iron before sewing it on. then I learnt toput my paper pattern on the ironing board, put my piece of bias tape on it, and use the iron to mould it. hope that helps..... In the meantime, just really bash this with the iron whenever you wash it - it is too pretty!
