Pattern Description: Stylish pull-on dress pattern includes a gently curved yoke with soft gathers at the front, a button closure at the left shoulder, and a matching obi sash. Mix prints and solids to create the perfect dress to accentuate your style. (description from sewlisette.com) The pattern shows up on the Lisette site but it can't be found anymore on the simplcity.com site.

I made version B with the obi belt and three quarter length sleeves, but without contrast fabric for belt and yoke.

Pattern Sizing: 6-22. I cut a 10 on top and flared out to 12+ below the waist.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? yes

Were the instructions easy to follow? Lisette pattern instructions are well written and detailed with lots of diagrams. I was surprised that the yoke facings are not interfaced. Make sure you mark which yoke pieces are for the facing. I mixed it up on the back and spent a lot of time unpicking the yoke seam and edge finish once I figured that was the reason why the pieces wouldn't line up when I wanted to do the right shoulder seam - no interfaced pieces to be an obvious cue.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like the look of most Lisette patterns and they are easy to sew.

Fabric Used: paisley print rayon twill Since it's a big print, I paid no attention to the design as I cut out the pieces, other than laying them out in the same direction.
I needed about 1.5 m of 150 cm width fabric to cut it out.

The obi belt ties are made from bias strips of fabric, but I used cotton twill tape I was conserving fabric so there would be a enough for a full. flowy skirt). The fabric store had very limited colours and widths of grosgrain or petersham ribbon so that why I ended up using twill tape.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: Although I have short legs and usually end up shortening skirts, I lengthened the skirt by 3 inches to be certain it would be knee length and work appropriate. It ended up being above my knee. With my classic print fabric I didn't think the narrow 5/8" shirt tail hem would compliment it so instead I made a straight, 1 1/4 inch deep hem. The fabric frays easily. I used lace hem binding to finish the hem.

Conclusion: I'm happy with it but wouldn't consider wearing it without the belt because it is loose and straight through the waist. This is a very short dress so most women would need to lengthen it substantially unless the plan is to wear it with leggings or are comfortable wearing mid thigh hemlines.
