| Pattern Description: Misses very loose fitting top and dress with neck band, gathers, button closures, casing with drawstring and stitched hems. Long sleeves are worn rolled up and secured with buttons. Dress has side pockets
Pattern Sizing: Size S thru XXL
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? A little
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like the button down placket and the sleeve tabs with the buttons; I did not like the drawstring.
Fabric Used: A crepe print from Trim Fabrics
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I made View A top in a Medium and a Small for the shoulders.
I shortened the length of the pattern 1 inch which I shouldn't have because after trying it with the drawstring, it was too short even for me and I'm only 5 feet tall. I decided to forget doing the casing and the drawstring. This top runs very, very very full and even though I did a S for the neckline, I could have went down a size smaller! After trying it on, it was so full that it looked terrible on me. I ended up cutting 3 inches off EACH side trying taper it in at the waist to give it more of a fit.
The pattern has you roll up the sleeves but the wrong side of my fabric was not attractive at all so I put a large 3 inch hem in the sleeves and folding it up creating a 2 inch cuff.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I won't see it again. I may recommend it on a tall, thin person with the drawstring and fullness but not on me!
Conclusion: The top is wearable and doesn't look too bad on me.
