Your skirt turned out great! I have done the same thing with the waistband before too. The skirt had a side zipper, which I intended to convert to a center zip. But of course I didn't remember to add a seam allowance to the center seam of the waistband. That meant recutting both the band and the facing. I just felt silly. You would think that after so many years of sewing I wouldn't make such a mistake. Think again: A project without some small glitch would be a miracle. Thanks for the lovely review.

You had me at, "waistband was too small". I have a straight shape too and would pay money to look half this cute in a skirt. You chose a really good style. You look curvy. Nice to have those useful pockets. Make more!
