Pattern Description: Misses' knit top in two lengths has surplice or boat neckline and can be made with 3/4 sleeves, ruched short sleeves or sleeveless.
Pattern Sizing: 4 - 16, I made a size 12. Smidge big but it is perfect for a sweater which I don't want a body conscious fit. If I make a t-shirt I will probably use the size 10.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, I made version D, the plain boat-neck T-shirt style.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I really like this pattern, a lot of bang for the buck. I have made the wrap neckline style (not reviewed yet, will do soon, and I am REALLY happy with that one) For this version I wanted a simple T-shirt to use with my strange knit fabric.
Fabric Used: Sweater knit that I found at a thrift store. It seems handmade (perhaps on a knitting machine) Probably acrylic yarn. Sewed up like a regular knit and now I am on the lookout for sweater knits at the fabric stores. quite easy to work with.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I made long sleeves, which are not included on the pattern but just a simple lengthening of the sleeve pattern piece. I did not follow the instructions on the neckline finishing, the pattern gives facing pieces for the neckline, and for the sleeveless version however I like to have the neckline finished as a RTW Tee or sweater with a band. So I used a crosswise strip of fabric to finish.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Highly recommend, I know this will be my basic T and wrap knit top pattern. (along with Simplicity 1916, similar wrap knit top).
Conclusion: So happy with this top. $ 2 fabric find and now I have a sweater to wear with my coat into skirt refashion.

That is a fabulous find and resulted in a fabulous sweater/T shirt! Have always stayed away from sweater knits as I thought they would be difficult to sew. Yours proves otherwise, love it!!
