Pattern Description: A loose fitting top with 2 variants
Pattern Sizing: Misses
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? It did...I suppose.
Were the instructions easy to follow? The instructions were very easy- Do you hear that universe? I understood some Burda directions!!!
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
You know my tendency toward the gaudy- this has minimal seams to disrupt the tacky flow of my fabric choice.
The neck finish instructions...meh. a crinkly crepey poly thing from Hancock
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
1- I made a self-bias tape to edge the neckline, it didn't weigh down the drapey neck and was less inprecise than the rolled hem the pattern called for with a little flappy back neck strip.
2- After 1 wear , I realised that the back fold/jumbo pleat was rather voluminous and removed all of my dainty waist shape. So I added a piece to the back mirroring the one in the front. It still gives me ease in case I have to save a kitten from Dr Evil or something, but still tapers in a bit.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Oh, try it, the mullet variation is very cute too.
Conclusion: A simple relaxing sew and another top to whip on for whatever and not feel like I'm dressed to paint the barn.
