| Pattern Description:
Misses cardigans and tops, one a sleeveless shell and the other a sleeveless, mock turtleneck Pattern Sizing:
XS-XL I cut a Medium Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes, very straightforward with great illustrations What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Likes: 1/4" seam allowances, basic design, sturdy pattern paper, clear directions and illustrations. Dislikes: none Fabric Used:
100% polyester knit with a soft nap, it looks and feels like cashmere. The name on the bolt was Opening Ceremony. Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I made a straight medium and it is a little large around the shoulders and armscye. I think I will cut closer to a small in those places next time and maybe take it in a little on the sides for a little more shape. I used satin embroidery thread stitched over topstitching thread to make corded buttonholes shown with the wooden buttons I used. I finally found this out of print pattern on EBay and it was advertised as new and uncut. In reality, it contained only the cardigan and not the tops so I paired it with my favorite V1141 shown here. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Absolutely on both. If you have this pattern you know how great it is. If you don't, and can get your hands on it, it will be worth the effort. Conclusion:
I'm so glad I finally tracked this great pattern down. Just a good, basic cardigan for wardrobe building and layering. |

Dearest DF (Defying Frumpy): You couldn't be FRUMPY if you tried, and I LOVE your take on the sweater set. That wide belt just sets off your whittled waist to a tee, and there oughta' be a law against anybody making such a perfect little buttonhole in a knit -- ha! :o)

I absolutely love this set (and your belt!)! Not frumpy--classic with a twist. So versatile, and you can dress it up or down.n Your buttonholes look incredible.

It's about the furthest thing from frumpy possible. Classic and perfect in every way-just beautiful work. I've googled and etsy'd this pattern to death and still can't lay my hands on it.

So funny that I looked at your thumbnail, looked at the pattern and thought, Yes, Art Attack managed to take a KS pattern (which, in my opinion, always look frumpy on the envelope) and make it into a stunning garment. I was even more impressed after looking at your detailed photos. Your work is beyone perfect on this one.

You are so not frumpy! I love your twin set! I just bought the Jalie twinset which looks a whole lot like yours. I will review later....I do love it. The belt and the Vogue tee really make this wonderful.
