Pattern Description: The Moss is a semi-fitted skirt that sits slightly below the natural waist and works up well in a variety of fabrics, from denim to wool to corduroy and many fabrics in-between. Skirt features a fly front and button closure as well as a yoke at the back. If mini isn't quite your style, add the hem band to create the longer silhouette of View B or use the hem band to get a little fancy

Pattern Sizing: 0-18

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Absolutely

Were the instructions easy to follow? They were great, I think better than the instructions for patterns by the Big 3

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? It fits just like contemporary RTW sizing, which made it easy to pick out what size pattern to make. I especially loved the construction of the pockets since they anchor down to the center front seam and don't bunch up when wearing the skirt. Plus they're roomy and I can actually get my hands in there! The instructions for the fly front zipper were really good as well, this was my first time sewing one into a garment and I was pretty happy with the results.

Fabric Used: Corduroy

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I stitched it straight from the original pattern, but I added topstitching to the back yoke, center front and back seams, and along the pockets to make it more "RTW" looking

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Oh my goodness yes! I want to make view B with the hem band in some kind of yummy wool. Such a great wardrobe builder pattern!!

Conclusion: Make this skirt! It's a keeper!

	momsurfing said... i liked your skirt so much i ordered the pattern. i must say it's a great fit. i like the way the band is higher in the back than the front, just like RTW and it hugs your backside just right. i'm not sure on the sizing as i like mine to ride on my hips. not sure if this was meant to fit like that , but i love it. 11/29/12 6:12 PM
