Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow? The instructions were very easy to follow.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like that it's a great basic that's easy to make up quickly. I don't like that the directions seem to be lacking an essential step - stitching in the ditch on the pleats.
Fabric Used:11 oz. rayon-lycra jersey from Emma One Sock.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Following the advice of others who reviewed this pattern, I stitched in the ditch on the pleats to prevent the facing from popping out. There's really no other way to keep this from happening and I wish it was in the directions. I almost gave up on making this top until it occurred to me to read some reviews to see if anyone else had encountered this problem. Thank goodness for Pattern Review! I also took in the side seams a bit right under the arm and then more at the curve of my waist to give the top a little shape. When I make it again I think I'll just cut a smaller size because of those alterations and because I'm getting a tiny bit of gaping at the neckline.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, I'm planning to sew it again in perhaps a print so it looks a little different. It's a pretty easy top to whip up and I can always use more tops like this to wear under cardigans or jackets.
Conclusion: A great basic with a few modifications!
