Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? It did! But, as noted below, I made a couple of changes.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, very easy.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? This is a classic straight skirt, and a great wardrobe staple.
Fabric Used: Home dec fabric from Joann’s
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I added two additional darts to both the front and the back to give it a little more shaping. I also added a waistband. The skirt was underlined with poly/cotton broadcloth give it more body. All seam allowances were finished with the serger prior to sewing the seams. I used an invisible zipper and closed the waistband with a button/buttonhole. The hem was sewn using my machine’s blindstich foot.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, absolutely!
Conclusion: This skirt is a an excellent basic skirt pattern. I’ve made it before and I’m sure I’ll make it again! I made it to wear with my recently completed New Look 6150 top with matching infinity scarf. More photos with the coordinating top and details are on my blog.
