Note: the second pullover I made can also be viewed with this link.
Pattern Description:
Pullover uses contrast fabric, has kangaroo pocket, and v neck with placket and collar. Pattern Sizing:
6mo-4toddler. I used 2t and 18-24 mo for my 2 year old twins. Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, but cuter! The boys were super excited about the "boats" and "giraffes" on their new sweaters.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes. The included tips are very helpful as well. I have found that with oliver and s patterns, following these tips leads to a professional looking garment, even if it requires a little extra time (hand basting and hand finishing the collar) What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I love how I was able to use up some cute quilting cotton scraps and combine them with the heavier velour to make a unique but warm sweater.
Fabric Used:
Cotton velour (very thick) and quilting cotton. Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
None, except I used steam a seam to help keep the hems from twisting when I joined the knit and woven fabrics at the hem.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes. It was a little time consuming, but totally worth it. Conclusion:
Adorable pirate print. I bet whoever wears this will love it, aarrgh!
